Mario Pizarro
Pastor Mario Pizarro, is a native of New Jersey and of Puerto Rican heritage. Since a young age, he served in the church in various ministries but his concentration was always in worship ministry. In 2008, he felt the call into pastoral ministry and began pastoring in Pennsylvania in 2009. In 2011, he was appointed to pastor Sunnyside Community Church in Fresno, CA. Under his ministry, the church transitioned into a bilingual, multi-ethnic congregation.
Pastor Mario is an ordained Bishop with the Church of God of Prophecy and holds a Master of Arts in Church Ministries from Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He is also a Registered Nurse and holds a bachelor in Nursing Science. He and his wife Lily co-pastor the church and have been married over 22 years. They have 2 beautiful daughters, Karyna and Naya.
